One of the fastest, easiest and most enjoyable NYC commuting options available from Jersey City is via a ferry boat. Jersey City currently has five active ferry ports, they are:
- Newport: Located adjacent to Newport Mall and the Pavonia-Newport PATH station. The ferry terminal is located on the tennis court pier east of River Drive South.
- Paulus Hook: Departs/arrives from the Colgate-Palmolive property in Exchange Place.
- Liberty Harbor: Located at the south end of Marin Blvd. in the Liberty Harbor Marina.
- Liberty Landing Marina: Conveniently located in Liberty State Park at Dock M. The pier is covered with a round white awning. When facing the water, the LSP Water Taxi will dock on the left side of the pier. The port is only open during the summer months.
- Porte Liberte: Located at the foot of Chapel Ave. in the Port Liberte development at Caven Point.
